So Fresh & So Clean Clean

"Create in me a clean heart, O God,

And renew a steadfast spirit within me." PSALM 51:10

Psalm 51 is a prayer of repentance. Seeking a clean heart and a fresh spirit starts with repenting. Repentance is a beautiful gift from God that a shower can’t give you. No amount of soap & water can wash away an unclean heart. (& that’s FACTS!) As you grow deeper in your relationship with Christ, new convictions will arise & your heart will yearn for purification. When you repent of your sins you’re washed clean by the power of the blood of Jesus. Understand that true repentance requires changed behavior. Confessing your sins & requesting God to search your heart for anything that is not of Him before running down your list of prayer requests is a sign of spiritual maturity.

The act of repenting is mimicked in our relationships with others. There’s beauty in a person that will admit when they’re wrong. Even more beautiful is an individual that apologizes & changes their behaviors.
